My Dear Friend, Muriel <3

I am deeply saddened to inform you that my friend, Muriel, has passed away after a battle with cancer. Her incredibly positive outlook, big dreams and bright smile were truly one of a kind. I feel so blessed to have been a part of her life, and even if you never met her, I hope you can understand just how wonderful this strong, brave girl was. She has had a tremendous impact on my life and on the lives of countless others, and I’m positive her beautiful spirit will live forever in the hearts and minds of everyone she has inspired. My thoughts and prayers are with Muriel’s family.

The Story Behind Live Out Loud

Here it is..the lyric video for my brand new song, LIVE OUT LOUD!
This project is so near to my heart because the song is inspired by the beautiful and brave Muriel Walters, a cancer patient at Johns Hopkins. I met Muriel through Music isMedicine, a wonderful charity which pairs pediatric cancer patients with artists who then “Donate a Song” inspired by the patient. I was lucky enough to get to hang out with Muriel and get to know her, and see what kind of song she would like. She told me about all of her big dreams and aspirations and about how much she wants to inspire others. I hope this song and video can be one way her story can inspire the world. Her positive outlook led my friend Michael Lord and me to co-write Live Out Loud, a song about living life to the fullest, no matter what. Muriel is living out loud, and so should we.
